Description :-
This is a Managed Hosting environment. Managing client systems consists of three principal elements: a) Proactive – Monitoring the client system; b) Reactive – Resolving problems on the client system and; c) Change Management – Implementing change on the client system. Verizon uses a three-tier support model to deliver service, with Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier Three support available in the ROC at all times.
Key Objectives :-
Technical delivery of customer systems including proactive maintenance, performance tuning, problem solving, and remediation. Ensure all alerts, problem tickets and changes are processed according to Service-Level Agreements (SLAs). Ensure proper documentation and processes are followed for incident, problem, and change management. Perform problem source identification and attempt to remediate problems. Process alarms, tickets, e-mails, and calls according to the Product Guides. Complete owned tickets and track to reassignment or completion in a timely manner Perform Level 1 and 2 duties as required. Other duties as assigned
Primary Skills :-
5+ Years Systems Administration experience with Windows Operating Systems and Applications, most importantly with Exchange and Windows Server. This is not for user support but for Exchange server support. Active Directory is also a desired skill. Excellent communication and client relations skills. Understanding of overall business functions and the impact of technical decisions on business results. Excellent problem solving skills E-commerce experience in a large environment Extremely reliable attendance.
Secondary Skills :-
UNIX, Linux and/or VMware. Must have the desire to learn UNIX and/or Linux for the purposes of supporting other customers Experience with ATG, BEA Weblogic, WebSphere, Iplanet, Apache, SQL Server Monitoring tools such as HP OpenView or the equivalent for Windows.
